Mechanical logic and neural-network elements

Explored bistable mechanical elements for transmitting and transforming binary information. The archived manuscript describes AND and NOT gates, signal-routing elements, adders, and a mechanical neuron design.

GPS-denied radio localization

Indian Institute of Science · 2019 · With Bharadwaj Amrutur’s group

Worked on ultra-wideband ranging and localization, including anchor geometry, time-difference-of-arrival methods, clock drift, and multipath effects.

FORAY: autonomous indoor airships

UCLA LEMUR · 2021–2022

Contributed to visual detection, sensing, and airship design for a multi-robot platform. The lab’s project notes document work on ball detection, range estimation, and modular software.

Spacecraft formation and orbital assembly

IIT Bombay · 2020–2021 · With Dwaipayan Mukherjee

Undergraduate thesis on distributed allocation, collision-aware formation maneuvers, and attitude consensus for assembling a parabolic telescope in an elliptic orbit. The associated paper and MACRO code are featured on the homepage.

Advitiy student satellite

IIT Bombay · 2018–2019 · Electrical engineering team

Contributed to solar-cell and power-circuit analysis, antenna-deployment circuitry, and engineering quality-assurance practices for IIT Bombay’s student satellite project.

Learning-based powered-descent reachability

UCLA · Begun in 2024 · Historical project

Investigated neural-network models of reachable landing regions from initial rocket states and inertial parameters.

FLORENCE: assistive mobile manipulation

IROS Mobile Manipulation Hackathon · 2021 · With Manan Tayal and Nambilakshmi Ramachandran

Collaborated on an assistive-robot concept for containment environments, with Webots simulations, face-recognition tests, and a patient-database demonstration. The work explored medicine delivery, temperature checks, and sanitization as simulated tasks.

AgroBot for hilly-terrain farming

Inter-IIT Tech Meet · 2021 · Team design project

Contributed systems analysis and mechanical design for an agricultural robot, including seed metering, transplantation, and precision spraying. The project focused on the constraints of farming in hilly terrain.

Cooperative UAV search and localization

Inter-IIT Tech Meet · 2019 · Team project

Worked on ROS-based communication, coverage planning, object detection, and hardware integration for a cooperating UAV fleet.

Parallel path-planning algorithms

IIT Bombay · 2021 · Course research project

Compared serial and parallel implementations of graph-based path-planning algorithms, including OpenMP and CUDA approaches. The report records both computational trade-offs and memory limitations.

Bluetooth-controlled XY stage

IIT Bombay · Mechatronics project

Developed electronics and mobile controls for a lead-screw positioning stage driven by stepper motors, with fine and coarse motion controls.

Smart solar lamp

IIT Bombay · 2021 · Team electronics project

Designed a modular solar-lighting system with battery protection, ambient-light sensing, and charge-aware intensity control.

Pick-and-sort SCARA arm

IIT Bombay · Robotics course project

Built and integrated a 3D-printed robotic arm with camera-based shape detection and sorting, spanning mechanical design, electronics, and perception.

Sudoku-solving block printer

IIT Bombay · 2018 · Institute Technical Summer Project

Combined camera capture, image processing, Sudoku solving, and a block-printing mechanism to fill a puzzle grid.

FlexiForce robotic resistance simulator
